Wow compared to yesterday, today's weather is awesome and gorgeous. The morning hours for Mangal Aarti was a little chilly but after I got out of the kitchen early this afternoon, the weather is just fanstastic! It must be nearly mid 70's because it feels so warm out. I am tempted to go to the beach today but I might not have a lot of time though because I do have some things to do later on after lunch like doing some cleaning in the pujari room, and finishing up my laundry.
To me the weather out here seems like summer time to me. I am from the eastern part of the United States so I know what cold weather is like and plus I have been in Toronto when the weather there was freezing cold. So this is summer in Janurary to me. It feels nice not having to drag a coat with you in winter. I should get a pair of sunglasses because the sun gets so bright here. During our Ratha Yatra parade on Martin Luther King Day I got a little sunburn and it wasn't even hot out.
I can however go on a bike ride today. I was thinking of taking a ride over to the DMV to get a new state id but I think I will wait till I get a little more laxshmi for that because it might be a little pricey and I need go get minutes for my cell phone as i know my dad may be calling me next week when he comes back down from the mountains. He says he wants to go on a bike ride with me on Venice Beach. So I should save my money for minutes for my phone and after that I can try to start saving up to go to New Vrndavan in May and possibly visit Cleveland as well if Krishna will let me.
I have noticed since I've been living in California that I am finding myself going out a lot more. I hope to do the same when I get back in Toronto in the summer. I should get me a bike for up there too so I can cruise around when I am not doing service. So far I do like it out here and I'm pretty much content with my living conditions out here. But my desire is still to go back to Toronto to help take care of my guru Maharaj and Tulasi Devi. I could care less about the beautiful weather out here really, I'd give it up just to stay permanantly in Toronto to serve my favorite Deities, and my guru Maharaj there. Im used to the cold since I am from Cleveland Ohio and I have been through nasty weather. So for now I will just use this nice weather Krishna is providing for going out and getting a little exercise with either a little walking or bike riding.
